Upcoming Events

Every Sunday we worship at 11.00. Most Sundays it is a Sung Communion. There is an All Age Communion Service on the first Sunday of most months.

We also have a Children's Church and Youth Group

  • Lent begins on Ash Wednesday (26 February this year) and there will be a service of Holy Communion, with the Imposition of Ashes, at 18.00 at Saint Edmund’s.
  • A Lenten Book Group will meet after church coffee on three Sundays in Lent – 15, 22 and 29 March – for one hour (approx. 12.30 to 13.30). The focus of the discussions will be “Say Yes to Life” by Ruth Valerio. The book’s premise is that, as people made in the image of God, we are entrusted to look after what he has created: to share in God’s joy and ingenuity in making a difference for good. A limited number of copies of the book are available for those attending. They can also be purchased online.
  • A Lenten Lunch of soup and bread will be served after church during Lent (starting Sunday 1 March). Proceeds will go to the Shearly Cripps Children’s Home in Zimbabwe. Please consider volunteering to help. There is a sign-up sheet on the noticeboard in the crypt.
  • Bishop David Hamid will be with us at Saint Edmund's on Sunday 10 May to preside at a Service of Confirmation. Anyone considering Confirmation should make contact with the Senior Chaplain, so that they can join the preparation classes for this important rite.
  • Children’s Church is a vital part of our mission at Saint Edmund’s and we are blessed to have wonderful volunteers nurturing our young people in their faith. If you would like to know more about this important ministry, and help out in various ways, then please contact the Chaplain.
  • The Youth Group welcomes members aged 11 to 14. We usually meet on the second Sunday of the month after the morning service.
  • Bible Study is held after church coffee, around the font (from about 12.40 to 13.30), on the first and the last Sundays of each month, led jointly by Ekene, Owen and Darren (Chaplain). It begins from the bible passages read during the service and on the notices sheet for that Sunday.
  • The Ladies Guild is a group of ladies from the congregation who meet at 11:30am usually about once a month, where we bring along some items of food for lunch, and enjoy each other's company during our combined lunch. At the moment we have no set programme, but have interesting discussions and are a good support for each other. We would love some new members, so if you are interested please contact Jean Oeding or Amy Eriksen - 95 15 52 41 - for more details.
